Biography
Manish Kapoor is a researcher and practitioner in AI applications to IT operations and cybersecurity.
He is the author of AI in IT (2025), an IEEE-published author, and a peer reviewer for IEEE journals.
His research covers patch and vulnerability management using public data, including the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog (KEV), the National Vulnerability Database (NVD) and the Exploit Prediction Scoring System (EPSS). He also studies AI agents in IT operations, and how leaders decide under pressure.
He has spent more than twenty years leading global IT teams.

Mean Time to Lead started with a question he kept running into. We time every stage of an outage. Why do we never time the people running the response?
